Garmin has been working essentially since March, so weve not only been doing day-to-day operations from our sofas, dining basements and rooms, weve also been directing photoshoots and TV commercials from there too.
The best method to market a product is to reveal it out in the wild. Our items could.
The secret to pulling off a remote picture and video shoot is to work with a production partner who comprehends Garmins mission and products. Our imaginative team brought Ironclad on board to inform the story of our three products. Located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, they were a terrific resource for finding the places we needed to showcase everything from close-to-shore kayak fishing to out-at-sea coastal boating.
Where our marketing group would generally be there face to face searching places, taking a look at wardrobe and boats and assisting with item positioning, we were rather taken along for the trip through Facetime, live streaming and Microsoft Teams calls.
After months of preplanning, numerous shoot days from sunrise to sunset and lots of check-ins, we pulled it off. See below how it was done.
