I missed a few days on the mat due to emotional drainage and a stomach bug. When I got into that initial all-fours position my dog came and happily kissed my face and snuggled around my body as I moved through cat cow. I couldn’t help but laugh and find joy. I focused on the fact that I can still arrive, not as who I should be but who I am, a little hurt and broken, and still be welcomed with a breath of light. Thank you

It was hard to get back on the mat. I skipped few days, and it was challenging to get back. But now I’m here again. I was distracted and not feeling like doing yoga. Still, I did it. Took a few child poses, and i dit my best, and that’s enough.

My favorite thing about YwA is that I really am learning to listen to my body, something I always thought sounded silly and wasn’t actually doable. I’m learning to accept when I need the breaks (and not beating myself up over it) and I’m learning to take on the challenges when my body is asking for one.
