I first discovered “fixed meditation in movement” while doing my indoor kayak fitness instructor that uses resistance bands. I got my stationary bike, and I get the relaxing feeling even more on it.

I messed up into this last August during our wildfires when the air was bad, and I needed to do more indoor exercise on fixed fitness instructors. If you do it mindfully, it actually can be quite peaceful. The rhythmic movement can automatically focus and unwind your mind. And unlike outdoors, it is even safe to close your eyes (Ive in fact been tempted to do this every now and then on my bike outdoors when Im in a relaxed groove, however fortunately eradicated the temptation).

My indoor fitness center in the garage plus the fixed bike are also excellent in bad weather. I must admit I dont always do so mindfully inside.

On another front, my PT exercises for my sciatica are working nicely. I seem to get the aching that goes down the back of my right leg less typically and it is less extreme. I especially like the “figure 4 workout:”

You need to be cautious that this causes no knee pain, it is just expected to rotate and flex the hip, which offers the piriformis a good stretch. They are likewise having me do a lot of hip-area reinforcing exercises. If I keep the muscles in this location well-toned Im less most likely to strain the piriformis in the future, I guess.
