Afterwards Ettienne chooses that the North Coast of Scotland was his favorite for surroundings. There are pictures in the book but unfortunately small and black and white. I had the ability to find a video on YouTube on cycling the North Coast which reveals the spectacular landscapes, however the riders in the video were much luckier in the weather condition they experienced than Etienne.
The experience goes through remarkable landscapes but is completely tough, with great deals of headwinds (in some cases gale force), climbing, cold, and rain. Ettienne has an extremely positive attitude throughout, advising himself he selected to do this experience and is lucky to have the chance. I found it to be a terrific story and a satisfying read.
Author Ettienne lives in the greater London area. Ettienne chooses to do an adventure as a charity event for the Haven Centres to offer something back. What he chooses to do is really enthusiastic: set the record for a mix of biking and running the border of the UK, not only the whole island of Great Britain but Northern Ireland.
Bikepacking Scotlands North Coast 500 In Three Days:
Global cycling rider Si does the ride with Mark Beaumont as his guide. Mark is the world record holder in biking around the globe, whose story is chronicled in The Man Who Cycled the World (another highly adventure book). Coincidentally, throughout the trip Si and Matt face Jenny Graham, the womens all over the world, biking record holder.
They didnt quite get me fired up to circumnavigate the UK or the world on my bike, or ride 500 miles over difficult surface in 3 days. And ideally find a method to give back like Ettienne and Tricia did.
