What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you desired to provide up?Im a mom of 5, and Im 43 years of ages. Since I was tired of taking dozens of medications, I decided to begin my weight loss journey. Being detected with type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea, and hypertension was weighing on me psychologically, physically, and mentally.
I desired to be a much better me, not for the opposite sex or to be better than the next woman but just to enhance myself.
When did you begin your journey? How long did your improvement take?I began my journey on August 20, 2013.
Is weight-loss surgery part of your journey?I had a successful Gastric Bypass procedure done on August 20, 2013. Thats where everything started!
How did you alter your eating habits?I began to research and found JJ Smiths 10 Day Green Smoothie Cleanse. During this procedure, I eliminated consuming red meat, pasta, bread, sugary foods, and so on. I also paid very close attention to my sugar consumption and drained to a gallon of water per day. I ate more veggies and adhered to foods that promote weight reduction.
How typically did you work out?I didnt have an exercise regimen, and I also didnt have a personal fitness instructor. I bought a subscription at LA Fitness, where I did mostly cardio.
What was your beginning weight? What is your present weight?My starting weight was 358 pounds. My current weight is 197 pounds.
What is the biggest lesson youve found out so far?The greatest lesson Ive found out is to be identified and let absolutely nothing stand in your way. I had to alter my frame of mind and comprehend that this is not a diet however a complete way of life modification. I am a woman of God. It took prayer and letting the Holy Spirit lead me, even when I was choosing what to consume. I constantly kept in mind Philippians 4:13: “I can do ALL things through Christ who reinforces me.”
