Today was another “hard day”, still training for my approaching workout tension test obstacle. After my upper body work in the garage health club, and walking with hand weights and poles outside, I rode my bike over to the West side of town so I could do “periods” by strolling up several of the streets on the slopes of El Toro.

. I finished up with some standing 1 min intervals on the bike. I felt great afterwards, “exhilarated, not tired”, as advised by the excellent track coach Bill Bowerman.
